Mindfulness

Mindfulness is the supreme moment where nothing matters, and everything matters at the same time.  It involves knowing who you are, and how others may be feeling and perceiving their environment.  Mindfulness recognizes your wants, needs, and desires in combination with the environment around you.  It comes with knowing your emotional self, and recognizing the same in others.  It comes with empathy and compassion, speaking truth and being receptive to truths from yourself and others.  Mindfulness in short is being AWARE.

How aware you are depending upon how often you check in with yourself and others.  Your receptivity is the cue.  How do you know you are becoming more aware?

Ask these questions:

  • How often do you acknowledge a truth about yourself to yourself?  (I.e. you suddenly discovered you've been cooking to please others instead of cooking what you want... which means... I like buttered lima beans and fish And I would like to have them for dinner.)

  • How often do you touch base with your loved ones to see how they are doing?  (I.e. don't just say hey, ask the deep questions like how are you feeling today?)

  • How often do you notice yourself standing up behind your boundary and saying NOPE I don't like that action?

  • How frequently do you notice yourself in ego in the moment?

  • How frequently do you notice others in Ego?

These questions are a check in only.  Look at the other titles in the series, how often do you notice them, and where are you at on your journey?  The more you notice and put into practice the self-reflective questions the more mindful and aware you have become.

Welcome to maturity!
